Valley of Fire State Park
Looking for (some) easy hiking spots, lots to see, and a way out of the city? Valley of Fire is a state park that’s only an hour away from Las Vegas!
I’ve been to Valley of Fire twice on a day trip and I still look forward to going back. The first time I went was during a date day with the boyfriend and the second time was to show my cousins around- both memorable experiences. I’ve yet to go back and camp, but I feel a day trip is still a good enough time to get the most out of your experience. Open seven days a week, 365 days of the year! ($10 entrance fee per vehicle)

Tourist Tips:
-
Stay hydrated. There is a water filling station inside the main visitor center.
-
Restrooms are located in the visitor center and smaller restrooms and porta potties are only on a few hiking trails.
-
-Fire Wave and White Domes trailhead are my favorite! (Fire wave is where you get the photos of wave-like red and white striped rocks that you can walk on and White domes is both sandy & Rocky, giving you plenty of outdoor desert AND shaded "cave-like" experiences!)
