Truly, Krystal
New York
I LOVE NEW YORK.
I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to come here! (Oh wait...It was a money thing HAH)
We stayed in Brooklyn at an AirBnB that was very close to a Metro stop (highly recommend) and wandered around Brooklyn and Manhattan by foot and metro. (Also used Uber once when we got lost and took the wrong way on the subway haha).

I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. I walked around aimlessly through Central Park, saw Times Square during the day and night, crossed off seeing the statue of liberty from my bucket list, enjoyed art and history from the Met, watched Book of Mormon on Broadway, spent Palm Sunday at the beautiful St. Patricks' Cathedral, ate from the Original Halal Guys, enjoyed NY Pizza and strreet food, got Dim Sum in chinatown, got Korean Fried Chicken and Dranks with Tuan's family, spent time with my own family who was in NY the same time we were, rode the Metro everywhere, rode the FERRY, saw the view of New York from the New Jersey side, and enjoyed the beautiful night time view of NY from the Empire State Building.

Here are a couple of places and photos that were the highlight of my trip. Links and Tips below! Highly Recommend!
Tourist Tips:
-
-Easy Lodging: AIRBNB. BUT I would also look in to Pod hotels around NYC as well! I've never stayed there, but it sounds like an awesome concept.

-We found a lot of deals on Groupon for views from the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Center. My group only went to the Empire state building while my cousin and her family went to both. Although the Empire State Building Observation deck is taller than the Top of the Rock. They just said pick one; views are fairly similar. :) However, be sure to book in advance. Only a certain number of people are allowed at a certain time, so you will be buying tickets for a time slot!
-
Rockefeller center website (https://www.rockefellercenter.com/)prices are $36 for adults, $34 seniors, $30 ages 6-12.

Always Look on other websites for better deals, but be sure the website is legit!

-Easiest way to get from one place to another is on foot or on the subway/Metro. Highly recommend purchasing a metro card for the week rather than paying "by ride" or daily which will cost you way more and save you time at the kiosk.
