Rome

Italy
If I could sum up Rome in a couple of words, they would be...Historic & Beautiful
with lots to see and delicious foods to try. Have I mentioned that I love gelato? Yeah, I didn't stop in Venice and I didn't stop in Rome. Trust me, you'll need to get your energy up with all the sightseeing you do!

A few stops that we made?
-Colloseo (The Colloseum)
-Pantheon
-Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain)
-Foro Romano (Roman Forum)
-Piazza Navona
-Vatican City (which is it's own separate country BTW! This has it's own page)
Pantheon
A former Pagan Roman temple now a present-day church. Very beautiful craftsmanship. Just look up and you have a beautiful domed structure that you can barely believe!

Colloseo (The Colloseum)
This large structure is still one of the most beautifully historic amphitheaters I have seen. Though there were massive lines of people, we were able to view the inside and find a nice view of the outside away from the crowds!

Fontana di Trevi
It would be rude of me to start off not singing "This is What Dreams are Made of" by Hilary Duff, but oh well! The fountain itself has magnificent statues ofthe Gods and the fountain seems almost bright blue to the eye. It's no wonder people flock from all over the world to throw a coin in it and make a wish. Just remember that the correct way to do so (which I found out AFTER making my first wish) is...
1. Face backwards (away from the fountain)
2. MAKE THAT WISH
3. (Right handed) hold the coin in your right hand and throw over your left shoulder
(Left handed) hold the coin in your left hand and throw over your right shoulder.
**It's actually said that if you do it this way, you will come back to Rome again.

Btw. If you get lost, it's okay. We ended up passing a liquer tasting shop and buying
limoncello, hazelnut liquer and melon liquer. WIN WIN!
